PHOTOGRAPHING THE TOTAL SOLAR ECLIPSE: APRIL 8th 2024

On April 8th, 2024, millions of people will be watching a total solar eclipse over the U.S. mainland. Many of these people will bring their cameras, hoping to capture images of this astounding event. Since capturing these images is quite challenging, we will provide answers to common questions like:
What equipment is needed?
What cameras settings do I use on my dslr?
Do I need special filters?
Is it possible to include anything besides the sun and moon in the image?
Any creative options?
We will answer all of these as well as talk about the various eclipse types as well as how rare they really are. You will be shooting the eclipse with our help for the big event! Open to all levels of camera knowledge.
